Fix for Nokia 6300 Battery Drain
I just recently purchased a Nokia 6300 mobile phone and I really love this phone but battery life was a real problem. With hardly any use the battery was going flat incredibly quickly I had to recharge nearly every day even with minimal use. After some research I discovered that the nokia 6300 has a somewhat underpowered battery to drive such a great screen which of course is the main reason for the battery drain. So if you are having the same problem try this: In the main menu choose settings. In the settings menu choose display. Turn off active standby and screen saver (you can have screen saver and power saver on). Now whenever your phone is not in use always lock it by pressing the menu button then the star button (*). When the phone is locked simply press the red key (end) and in a couple of seconds the lights on the keypad will go out and the screen will go blank. If you press the red key (end) at any time the screen will come on for a few seconds and then go blank again (you may do this just to check the time). In every other way the phone works the same, By doing the above I don't have to charge my phone for about 5 days with minimal use!!! Remember the red (end key) only works when the keypad is locked.
